Namespace Creation

  1. Open DFS Management pane
  2. Right Click “Namespace” > “New Namespaces…”
  3. Select the name of the server that will host the Namespace then “Next”
    • You can add other servers in later
  4. Enter a name for the share like “Test_Share” then “Next”
    • You can edit settings but leaving the defaults are fine
  5. “Domain Namespace” is most likely the preferred option. “Next”
  6. “Create”
Note

Now there should be a directory with the name of your share in C:\DFSRoots
